Luís Antero: sound narratives
Portuguese collector of field recordings Luís Antero is working on a series of 6 volumes of Sound Narratives.
his earlier EP “Water Recordings” (http://bp.bai-hua.org/releases/bp012.htm), under the name Out Level, is on the Chinese Bypass Netlabel. my review of it went:
"the ear leads the hand holding the microphone, asking the feet to carry the body towards new sounds. these field recordings tell a simple audio narrative. there is something honest here, compared to highly processed productions such as pop music."
his home site is www.luisantero.synthasite.com.
2 volumes of Sound Narratives are released already, of a total of 6: “Sound Narratives, Vol. 1”, on the Bypass Netlabel (http://bp.bai-hua.org/releases/bp017.htm) and
“Sound Narratives, Vol. 2” (http://electrorucini.mine.nu/), on the Portuguese Electrum Rucini Records.
soon, 2 more will be available:
“Sound Narratives, Vol. 3”, on AudioTong (http://audiotong.net/cmsms/) and
“Sound Narratives, Vol. 4”, on Earth Monkey Productions (http://www.earthmp.com/index.html).
all of these are available for free download, under Creative Commons licenses.
smash the record industry! don’t give any more money to Lars Ulrich for his new, gold-plated shark tank!
